While a law student, Frederic and his friends hosted energetic debates on many topics, especially Catholic social teachings. When challenged to demonstrate what real good the Church was doing, Frederic and some of his fellow students formed the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul to be a ministry to the poor. Frederic became a professor, married, and served in the Society until his death.Feast Day: September 9Patronage:Anthropologists, Environmentalists, Politicians, Social Workers
