Authored by Yusuke Nakahara, this volume meticulously documents the compositional process and folk music sources behind the work, drawing on everything from initial sketches and printed editions to Bartk’s own recordings. It details every editorial decision made in preparing the score and, importantly, reveals how each piece evolved into its final form. Two appendices further enrich the commentary: the first includes a transcription of Bartk’s recording of Bulgarian Rhythm (1) plus early versions (without octave doublings) of March and the sixth Bulgarian Dance; the second presents Bartks own comments on each piece, as recorded by American piano teacher Ann Chene.Hungarian Overview (ttekints):A ktet ksri Bartk monumentlisMikrokosmoskritikai kiadst a 153 zongoradarabbl ll sorozatot, amelyet sokan Bartk zeneszerzi gondolkodsnak kulcsaknt tartanak szmon.
