Not only was he a master of the instrument, but he was also a composer and conductor who understood the clarinet’s role in both the orchestra and solo repertoire. Giampieri is famous for “modernizing” the pedagogical approach in Italy, moving away from purely repetitive drills toward studies that emphasize the “bel canto” (beautiful singing) quality of the woodwind family. This specific collection is often praised for its logical progression, making it a favorite for teachers preparing students for professional auditions.PublishersRicordi (Universal Music Publishing Group)We value your feedback!
