Benjamin, George: Antara (Score) / Faber MusicOverviewAntara by George Benjamin is a remarkable score composed for a unique ensemble that blends traditional and electronic instruments. Commissioned for the 10th anniversary of IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique), this 1987 work is notable for its fusion of Western orchestral textures with the haunting timbres of the Andean panpipes (antara), here recreated electronically. The piece explores spatial, acoustic, and electronic dimensions, pushing the boundaries of musical expression and sonic architecture. Benjamins compositional mastery shines through in this daring and evocative score, making it a staple in contemporary classical performance and academic study. This 152-page full score edition published by Faber Music is an essential reference for conductors, composers, scholars, and performers interested in late 20th-century avant-garde music.ttekintsGeorge Benjamin Antara cm mve rendkvli partitra, amely hagyomnyos s elektronikus hangszerek egyedlll egyttesre rdott.
