Transcribing these pieces effectively requires the arranger to redistribute the piano’s role, assigning the main melodic material to the clarinet while adapting the intricate harmonic accompaniment for the piano. Nagy Olivr’s arrangements are respected for their ability to maintain thePrludes’ delicate tonal colors while ensuring the wind instrument plays an idiomatic, flowing role. While the specific titles of the two preludes are not listed, they are likely two of the more lyrical and expressive pieces suited to the clarinet’s voice, such asLa fille aux cheveux de lin(The Girl with the Flaxen Hair) orDes pas sur la neige(Footprints in the Snow). The editor,Nagy Olivr(19272016), was a versatile Hungarian musician whose work greatly expanded the repertoire for various wind instruments through his high-quality transcriptions.rdekessgekAPrludesDebussy egyik legmlyebb mve, amely nagymrtkben tmaszkodik apedlra s az sszetett harmnikrateri hatsainak elrshez.
