Peter Donders was a priest from Holland who volunteered in the 19th century for missionary work in Dutch Guiana (Surinam). There he worked among lepers and African slaves with great compassion for their plight. After nearly twenty years he met some Redemptorists and joined their community. He was a very dedicated, humble, and fascinating man. This book tells his life story.
Readers will truly be inspired by the life of Blessed Peter Donders and will find in him a model of someone who trusted unfailingly in God’s providence. Includes the first English translation of his letters.
