Composed in early April 1928, when Britten was just 14 years old, the piece was completed in under a week and spans approximately 22 minutes in duration. Despite his youth, the work demonstrates a precocious grasp of form, texture, and emotional depth.Influences from Beethovens structural clarity are evident, particularly in the formal balance and thematic development. These classical foundations are enriched by the lush harmonies and textures reminiscent of Ravel, reflecting Brittens keen interest in contemporary styles. The guidance of his teacher, Frank Bridge, is also present in the quartets refinement and attention to detail. This edition includes a full set of parts for performance, making it a valuable asset for any string quartet interested in exploring lesser-known gems of the 20th-century repertoire. It offers both a window into Brittens artistic beginnings and a rewarding musical experience for performers and audiences alike.Hungarian Translation – Overview (ttekints)Benjamin Britten F-dr vonsngyese egy figyelemre mlt korai alkots, amely fontos helyet foglal el a vonsngyes-irodalomban.
