Bach, the second son of J.S. Bach, was perhaps the most influential composer of his time, moving away from strict counterpoint toward highly personal, emotional expression. These sonatas are excellent examples of this stylistic shift.Flexible Composition:These works were originally published as “Sonatas for Clarinet, Bassoon, and Keyboard.” The alternative string pairing (violin and cello) was a commercial practice of the time, allowing publishers to market the music to the widest possible audience of “Connoisseurs and Amateurs.”The Editor Balassa Gyrgy:The editor was a distinguished Hungarian clarinetist and professor who played a major role in establishing the Hungarian wind music tradition. His editorial choice to publish these sonatas underscores their importance in the wind chamber repertoire.Wq 92:Unlike many of his lengthier sonatas, the Six Sonatas of Wq 92 are often concise, single-movement works that derive their charm from immediate melodic appeal and harmonic surprise.rdekessgek (Hungarian Interesting Facts)A kifejezs ttrje:C.P.E.
