During the Classical period, a figured bass line was often provided, but the realization (filling in the chords) was left to the performer. Mez Imre provides a concrete and historically appropriate performance suggestion.Instrumentation Context:The festive nature provided by the two trumpets in the orchestration is typical of compositions written for high feast days or special ceremonies in the Salzburg court, reflecting the solemnity and joy inherent in the Compline service.P. Eckhardt Mria’s Role:The editor’s work focuses on presenting a clean, modern score while respecting the performance practices of the Classical era, ensuring the work is both scholarly sound and accessible to modern musicians.rdekessgekA Continuo Kidolgozsa:A Mez Imre ltal kidolgozott billentys continuo szlam beillesztse jelents tudomnyos segtsget nyjt.
