His works, including these sonatas, are known for their delightful melodies and pedagogical utility, making them essential training materials for students of the transverse flute and violin. The Flexible Setting:The inclusion of bothflute and violinin the title reflects a common Baroque practice where composers intentionally wrote pieces that could be performed on any instrument with a comparable range. This demonstrates the commercial adaptability of the music.Understanding Basso Continuo:The accompanying piano part is a modern realization of theBasso Continuo(figured bass). This musical shorthand required a keyboard player (often harpsichord or organ in the 18th century) to improvise chords above a given bass line. This edition provides a complete, written-out piano accompaniment, simplifying performance for modern ensembles.rdekessgek (Hungarian Interesting Facts)Corrette gyakorlatiassga:Michel Corrette(17071795) rendkvl gyakorlatias zeneszerz volt, aki sokat rt a nvekv amatr zenei piac szmra.
