Conceived primarily asvocalises(wordless singing) with piano accompaniment, these pieces were written to illustrate the core principles of theKodly Methodin a refined, artistic context. As the title suggests, thenine Epigramsare suitable fortwo voices or two instruments (such as flutes or violins) with piano accompaniment, allowing for flexible use in both the classroom and performance settings. The music is characterized by its grace, lyricism, and discreetpolyphonic imitationsbetween the melody and the accompaniment. They are deeply rooted in Kodly’s musical language, subtly incorporating the “Hungarian accent” while radiating a “rare serenity of spirit and delight in music-making.” This20-page collectionis perfect forintermediate musiciansseeking works that are both technically accessible and musically profound.ttekints(Hungarian)AzEpigrammkKodly Zoltn kilenc rvid darabjnak gynyr s sokoldal gyjtemnye, melyet eredetileg 1954-ben komponlt.
