Beyond the 700+ letters, Janek kept a small, handwritten “album” during the last two years of his life. This album documented his feelings upon meeting Kamila, containing not just text but also brief, ephemeral musical fragmentsa few bars of melody or a single chordwhich served as personal, immediate messages rather than formal compositional ideas.Pter Tornyai, a celebrated young contemporary composer, takes these “fragments of fragments” and consciously removes them from their original, late-Romantic Janekian style. By placing them in a modern context, Tornyai pays tribute to one of his favorite works in the genre (JaneksIntimate Letters) while forging a completely independent, contemporary musical narrative. This approach offers performers and scholars a unique opportunity to study the transformation and recontextualization of musical ideas across different eras.rdekes Tnyek a KottkrlAWeitere intime Briefeinspircija Leo Janek s Kamila Stsslov kztti gyengd s rendkvl rzelmes levelezsbl ered.
